Question
The question text was not published separately; the title stands in for it.

Answer
The maximum period of confinement is 40 days. A female's period of confinement (Nifaas) ends upon the bleeding ending even if it is before 40 days. Thereafter, she must take a bath to purify herself and perform Salaat. Salaat is not compulsory upon a baby.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
