Question

Q1 Can a syed give Zakat to his/her brother/sister who is also syed Q2 I want to give zakat to my sister, her husband is syed and so her children too, could my sister spend that money of zakat on her husband and children Q3 In Masjid e Haram at the time of IFTAR "DASTAR KHUAAN" is put and every one puts their Iftaari and different FOODS on it, one doesn't know that this food is HALAL or HARAM or it is of SADQA. is it permissible to eat from it.

Answer

1. A Sayyid cannot give Zakaat to another Sayyid.

2. Since in the first place, you cannot give it to your sister, it will not be permissible to give it to her husband or children.

3. In this case, as long as we do not have proof that the food is Haraam, it is permissible to eat from that food.
