Are Muslims are allowed to attend a non-Muslim funeral?
Question
I would like to know if muslims are allowed to attend a non muslim funeral?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is not permissible for a Muslim to attend a non-Muslim funeral.1
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

اسْتَلْزَمَ عِنْدَهُ النَّهْيُ عَنِ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ تَرْكَ الصَّلَاةِ فَلِذَلِكَ جَاءَ عَنْهُ فِي هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةِ إِطْلَاقُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ وَلِهَذِهِ الْأُمُورِ اسْتَنْكَرَ إِرَادَةَ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ هَذَا تَقْرِيرُ مَا صَدَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ مَعَ مَا عُرِفَ مِنْ شِدَّةِ صَلَابَتِهِ فِي الدِّينِ وَكَثْرَةِ بُغْضِهِ لِلْكُفَّارِ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ
