The question text was not published separately; the title stands in for it.
Salaams, mufti desi is it permissible to swim while while one is fasting? Is it permissible to play video games Eg: sony playstation
Answer
1. It is permissible, however, it is not advisable because of the great possibility of water entering one's system.
2. No, it is definitely not permissible to play video games in Islam. Many things that are prohibited in Shari'ah are found in such games, e.g. music, animate objects, wasting of precious time, negligence towards Ibaadat, etc. These are just but a few of the wrongs found in this trivial pursuit.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
