Can you discharge Sadaqatul Fitr in a different location from your place of residence?
Question
Assalamoalikum.
I reside in KSA with my family and want to pay Sadqatul Fitr in Pakistan for myself and all my family members.
Is it permissible?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, it is advisable to discharge sadaqatul fitr to the poor and needy people of one’s area of residence.[1] One may also discharge sadaqatul fitr in another area where people are more in need. [2] Accordingly, you may discharge your sadaqatul fitr in Pakistan. However, the sadaqatul fitr amount will be calculated according to the place of one’s residence, in your case Saudi Arabia.

وَكَذَا نَصَّ عَلَى ظَاهِرِ الرِّوَايَةِ فِي النِّهَايَةِ فِي صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ فَقَالَ: وَأَمَّا مَكَانُ الْأَدَاءِ فَهُوَ مَكَانُ مَنْ تَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ فِي ظَاهِرِ الرِّوَايَةِ بِخِلَافِ الزَّكَاةِ، فَإِنَّ الِاعْتِبَارَ فِيهَا بِمَكَانِ الْمَالِ
