Refund in exchange for a Five-star rating - Is this permissible?
Question
I've 1 question.There are so many sellers reaching out to me on Instagram and Facebook. They are asking me to buy their product on Amazon and give them 5* and or honest review and then they will refund the money money through PayPal. The item will be free. So tell me is this allowed in Islam? Will it be haraam?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, a sale is concluded with Ijaab (proposal) and Qabul (acceptance).[1]
In the enquired situation, the transaction will be complete once you receive the product. Thereafter reviewing the product and receiving a refund from the seller would be regarded as a gift.[2]
Accordingly, if one honestly reviews the product and receives a refund, it will be permissible. However, one must not be dishonest when reviewing the product in order to receive the refund. Consider the following hadith:
Translation: The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: 'Whoever deceives is not one of us.' (Sunan Tirmizi-1315)[3]

وإذا أوجب أحد المتعاقدين البيع فالآخر بالخيار: إن شاء قبل في المجلس وإن شاء رده وأيهما قام من المجلس قبل القبول بطل الإيجاب وإذا حصل الإيجاب والقبول لزم البيع

حَدثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ, قَالَ: أَخبَرنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ, عَنِ العَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبدِ الرَّحمَنِ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ, عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ؛ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلى الله عَليه وسَلم مَرَّ عَلَى صُبْرَةٍ مِنْ طَعَامٍ, فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِيهَا, فَنَالَتْ أَصَابِعُهُ بَلَلاً, فَقَالَ: يَا صَاحِبَ الطَّعَامِ, مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَ: أَصَابَتْهُ السَّمَاءُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ, قَالَ: أَفَلاَ جَعَلْتَهُ فَوْقَ الطَّعَامِ حَتَّى يَرَاهُ النَّاسُ, ثُمَّ قَالَ: مَنْ غَشَّ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَفِي البَابِ, عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ, وَأَبِي الحَمْرَاءِ, وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ, وَبُرَيْدَةَ, وَأَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ نِيَارٍ, وَحُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ اليَمَانِ حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
