What should be done if one mistakenly drops the qur’an from the shelf?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The Qur’ān is the kalam of Allāh Ta’āla. One should handle it with utmost respect. If one accidently drops it, he should seek forgiveness for this negligence and be careful in the future.[1]
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best

اگر سہوا قرآن زمین پر گر جائے تو اس کی تلافی کی کیا صورت ہے ؟
سوال : - کیا فرماتے ہیں علماء دین ومفتیان شرع متین مسئلہ ذیل کے بارے میں کہ ہم سے سہوا یعنی غلطی سے قرآن کریم زمین زد ہو گیا تو ہم نے دو رکعت نفل پڑھ کر توبہ کرلی تو کیا ہم نے ٹھیک کیا ؟ اور اب کچھ کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے یا اس کی تلافی کی کوئی صورت ہے ؟
الجواب وبالله التوفيق : غلطی سے قر آن زمین زد ہوجانے پر توبہ واستغفار کرلینا چاہے ، اگر آپ نے توبہ واستغفار کر لیا ہے تو کافی ہے ۔ فقط والله تعالی اعلم
