Naming a child Raahil
Question
Can I name my son raahil?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
May Allah make your child the coolness of your eyes and a means of reward for you in this world and the hereafter.
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has said:
"On the Day of Resurrection you will be called by your names and by your father's names, so give yourselves good names.” (Sunan Abu Dawood : 4950)
“Raahil” (راحل) means a traveller or one who departs on a journey. [i]
The name Raahil is suitable.
