Regret Over Wrong Marriage Partner
Question
Salaams.
This is really silly, but is it stupid to make dua to “go back in time”
like i desperately wish to go back and do something differently, something that im forever stuck with??
Getting married to the wrong person, wrong home, wrong family entirely.
And it was a silly stupid mistake on my side where i listened to their sons lies and broken promises and made nikkah within 2 months of knowing him, bc my parents wanted me to be happy, and they assumed he made me happy… I feel like i was like blind? Idk HOW or WHY I said yes, looking back there were so many times I didn’t want to marry him but I just kept going 🙁 we were in a haraam relationship for that month, and been married for 2.5 years, and there’s nothing I hate more than my life bc I married this guy… even if he isn’t a bad guy (he’s brain and heart dead, probably coz of all the drugs he took, and the girls he’s been with in his youth) I just would do anything to go back to get as far away from him as possible. He lied about his income education past family everything there is to lie about, he’s lied about. And if I knew all this I would’ve never married him, he’s basically like a gangster with no morals values income etc. and we love seperate lives where he cares for his siblings and mother, and I do my own thing, he spends time with his sisters and mother, they’re possessive over him. Nobody values me, and god I hate him so much for ruining my life.
I come from a highly respected and religious family, that took education and morals and empathy and deen super importantly… he lied so much that I can’t even look or think of him without feeling nauseous, and wanting to leave.
2 years ago I had multiple proposals and amazing families interested in me, but they all married their sons off now.. and I wasted 2 and a half years with this boy, that I have grown to absolutely hate.
