Question

If I had a credit card debt with Woolworths and I couldn't afford to pay it at the time so the debt was ceded by a company called nimble against my will at the time, do I have to pay nimble anything. Woolworths is not saying that I owe them anymore. How do I make sure that no one has a claim against me on qiyaamat?

Answer

If you have an outstanding debt with Woolworths, then inform them of the debt and tell them that you want to settle it with them. If they want you to settle the debt with them, then pay them the amount you owe them and if they absolve you of the debt, then you do not have to pay them anything.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
