Woman cutting her hair as a medical treatment
Question
Recently I've been experiencing alot of hair fall and thinning. I have a few small patches where the scalp is peeking through.
As a young married girl, this is very worrying for me. I was suggested to cut the hair a bit short till the shoulders and layer it to take off the weight, take good care of it and then grow it out once it starts to thicken and grow properly again.
Will it be permitted for me to follow this advice and cut the hair short and in layers?
Answer
If it is genuinely for medical treatment then it will be allowed.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
