Keeping the name "Akira"
Question
Can one keep the name Akira for a girl? It seems to mean light and intelligence. Is that right?
Answer
We do not know the exact Arabic alphabets, so we cannot comment.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
