Security Cameras
Question
Is it permmissible just for security reasons to have a security camera screen in or outside of the musjid showing live people (the faces and the eyes of the people can not be seen so clearly on the screen) coming and going?
Answer
Photography and the person who indulges in it has been cursed. Refer to http://ihyaauddeen.co.za/?p=3541
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
