Neighbours fruits falling into my yard?
Question
Q. Hazrath Mufti Saheb, Their’s a mango tree in my neighbours yard, however the mango’s fall in my yard. Who do the mango’s belong to?
Answer
The mangoes by default belong to your neighbour and it should be returned to the owner or general permission should be obtained for you to take the mangoes that fall into your yard. (Fatawa Mahmudiyyah, Vol: 23, Pg: 379, al-Muheet al-Burhani).
