Is it permissible to shop for deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Answer

Black Friday (27 November 2020) is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day. The term Black Friday was coined to describe crowds and traffic conditions on the Friday following Thanksgiving.

Cyber Monday (30 November 2020) refers to the Monday following Thanksgiving Day. It was created by retailers to encourage people to shop online following Thanksgiving.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have no religious connotations to it. It is merely a time that many retailers (both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce) offer their best deals.

It is permissible to shop for deals on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
