Using Zakaat for animal welfare
Question
Q: My cat is ill and needs an operation which costs about R5000. Can I use zakaat money to pay for the operation?
Answer
Zakaat may only be used for humans who fit the required eligibility qualifications for Zakaat. It may not be used for animal welfare and animal expenses.
