Question

If a child is born in a non-Muslim home and decides to become a Muslim; at what age will the Islam of the child be considered valid?

Answer

The Islam of a child living in a non-Muslim home will be considered valid from the age of seven. From this age, the discernment of the child will be considered sufficiently valid to revert to Islam. [Shaami 3:565]
