Question

IS IT PERMISSIBLE TO KEEP THE NAMES OF SONS(MALE) AS '' IBTESAM AZHAR'' AND ''IHTESHAM AZHAR '' AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF IT?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

As Muslims, we are advised to name our children after the names of the Ambiya (Alyhimus Salaam), Sahaba (Radyallahu Unhum), Tabi’een and pious predecesors.[1]

It is permissible to keep the name IBTESAM AZHAR and IHTESHAM AZHAR the meanings of the names are:

IBTESAM :( smile) AZHAR :( shine) IHTESHAM: (modesty) AZHAR :( shine)

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
