I want to know if nafaqa [giving your wife spending money] is wajib?

i want to know if nafqa[giving your wife spending money] is wajib? please give me daleels in detail.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Nafaqa refers to maintenance which is compulsory upon the husband, like the obligation of providing food, clothing and shelter for the wife.[[i]] Spending money is not part of the compulsory Nafaqa. However, if one gives spending money to the wife, that will be regarded as good spousal relationship and a gesture of goodwill from the husband.
Rasullallah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said,
The best from amongst you are those who are best to their wives”. (Tirmidhi, Mishkat 3252)

[i] وعلى المولود له رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف. سورة البقرة 233
وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ . سورة النساء 19
وإذا خاصمت المرأة زوجها فى النفقة، فإنه (أي القاضي) يفرض عليه من النفقة كل شهر ما يكفيها بالمعروف، ويفرض لها ما يصلحها من الكسوة للشتاء والصيف

فعليه نفقتها وكسوتها وسكانها...وتعتبر في ذلك حالهما جميعا قال العبد الضعيف وهذا اختيار الخصاف وعليه الفتوى وتفسيره أنهما إذا كانا موسرين تجب نفقة اليسار...وجه الأول قوله عليه الصلاة والسلام لهند امرأة أبي سفيان خذي من مال زوجك ما يكفيك وولدك بالمعروف اعتبر حالها وهو الفقه فإن النفقة تجب بطريق الكفاية والفقيرة لا تفتقر إلى كفاية الموسرات

هذه النفقة غير مقدرة بنفسها بل بكفايتها
