Istikhara
Question
If you do istikhara for 7 days and do not see anything or do see random dreams maybe twice then how are you supposed to get guided?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The purpose of istikharah is to seek khair (goodness) from Allah Ta’ala in whatever we intend to do. It is not necessary to see a dream for istikharah. By making istikharah, one is guided by Allāh Ta`ala alone.
As such, you may simply act according to the inclination of your heart on the matter, but you should also seek mashwarah (counsel) from your elders before making a final decision.
The full method of istikharah is mentioned in the link given below:

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
