Replying Salaam to a Non-Muslim
Question
Assalamu alaikum,
If a non muslim says salam to a muslim, how to reply them..??
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
If a non Muslim says Salam to a Muslim then one should simply reply with the following:
Translation: and upon you
Transliteration: Wa Alayk[i]
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
