Palm oil
Question
AsalaamuAlaykum.I have a question about Palm oil. Is it halal? I have heard that sometime Palm oil can be dangerous for health but is that only under certain circumstances? E.g.if it is treated in a certain way?
Please could you clarify this as it is in many foods?

As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palms[1]. Accordingly, it is permissible to consume palm oil[2]. You may refer to a nutritionist for health related issues.
