Is Mother-in-Law Mahram After Death of Wife
Question
my wife has passed away and i have four kids. Am i still allowed to meet with my mother in law?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
A mother-in-law is permanently mahram. It is permissible to meet one’s mother-in-law after the death of one’s wife.[1]
And Allah Ta‘ālā Knows Best.
