A women experiences yellow coloured discharge throughout the month but not every day. Most of the time it is clear or white. She has been suffering from infections and leucorrhea, and taking treatment for the same.

What is the ruling of such discharge in her case, is it in the ruling of blood and will it be regarded as her Haidh has began if she sees yellow discharge at the time when her Haidh is due to start?

Question:

Wa Alaikumus Salaam

1) Yes she does have a bleeding Habit.

Haiz: 16- 23 September

Tuhr: 24 September to 18 October

Haiz: 18-24 October

These are the past two months. Generally tuhr days are 21 - 25 days and haiz 6/7 days.

2) This issue has been continuing for quite a few years. Can't remember since when.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, if a woman has a discharge of any colour besides white within the days of haidh, then this discharge will be regarded as the blood of haidh. Accordingly, if a woman has a yellow discharge during her haidh, then it will be regarded as the blood of haidh. The discharge thereafter will be regarded as Istihaadha.

According to the clarification, the haidh of the woman will be 7 days from 18-24 October.
