In Mecca the Imam prays Janazah after Asr Salaah is done. Is this permissible?

Salamalikom. In Mecca the imam prays janazah after Asr farz is done. Is this permissible?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible for one to perform ṣalāh al-janāzah immediately after ṣalāh al-Asr as they do in Makkah al-Mukarramah.[i]
