What is Riya, and how many types of Riya in routine life?
Answer
Riya literally means show off. Any virtuous act done to show people is void of reward.
Every virtuous act should be done solely to please Allah Ta'ala and not any person.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (AskImam). It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
