Piercing Belly button
Question
Q. My husband would like me to pierce my belly button, he does not allow me to wear short tops and he is aware that at no point does my belly show.
This will only be for my husband to see, is this permissible?
Answer
No. This is not permissible even if it is done purely to please your husband as this is the practice of loose and immoral women. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said:
من تشبه بقوم فهو منهم
Whosoever imitates a people or nation, he/she is considered to be from them.
(Abu Dawood, Hadith #: 4033, Narrated by Ibn Umar)
