Question

How will the questioning of the grave happen to one who wasn’t buried or is buried after some time?

Answer

As salām ʿalaikum wa raḥmatullāhī wa barakātuhū

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

A person who dies and is not buried will face the questioning in the same way that one who is buried faces. If one is buried after some time, the questioning will occur before the burial.

After death, one leaves this realm and enters the realm of barzakh. The occurrences in the realm of barzakh remains unseen to those in this world just as the angels and the jinn remain unseen under normal circumstances.

And Allāh Taʿālā knows best.
