How do I make up missed fasts, and when is kaffarah due?

“Since he was able to fast during his life, the fidyah which his mother gave on his behalf was not valid and he was supposed to keep qadha for all the fasts he missed during his life. However, now that he has reached old age and is unable to fast, he should pay the fidyah for all those fasts that he missed during his life.”

“One of the requirements for Kaffaarah to be fulfilled is that the sixty days should be completed without any day being missed in between because of Eid, illness or travelling. Hence, one should choose such a period where one will not be travelling and the prohibited days of fasting do not fall as well as the month of Ramadhan.”
