It is narrated on the authority of Burayda (Radhiallaahu Anhu) that once Khalid ibn Waleed complained to Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) of Insomnia. Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) taught him the following Du'aa to be read when one retires to bed:
Translit: Allaahumma rabbis samaaawaatis sab'a wamaa adhallat wa rabbal ardheena wamaa aqallat wa rabbas shayaateen wa maa adhallat kun liy jaaran min sharri khalqika kullihim jamee'an an yafruta alayya ahadun minhum aw an yanbaghiy azza jaaruka wa jalla thanaa-u-ka wa laa ilaaha ghayruka laa ilaaha illaa anta.
