What the Darul Iftas say
“The Halal certification/seal in this age of excessive fraud, deceit and cheating does not necessarily imply that the food products are Halal. We understand that much of the meat products distributed and sold in the Middle East are imported from countries like Brazil, Argentina and Australia.”
“If the meat is not slaughtered by a Muslim according to the sharee method of slaughter, the meat will not be halaal. If you are not sure or you are in doubt regarding the meat, then refrain from purchasing from that butcher shop.”
