What is forbidden in ihraam?

“Hanafi Madhhab: It is permissible for a woman in Ihraam to wear gloves according to the Hanafi school of thought. However, it is better (Mustahabb) for her to avoid them.”

“1. Yes, it is permissible. 2. In the state of ihraam, it is compulsory that the upper portion of the foot be exposed (i.e. the area from the cuneiform bone which begins after the metatarsal bone) as well as the area around the ankle.”

“A1. Fundamentally, using scented products to wash one’s body in the state of Ihraam is prohibited in Shar’iah. If a scented product is applied to a complete limb, such as the hand, then a penalty known as Damm will be enforced. Damm means to sacrifice an animal within the precincts of the Haram Sharif.”

“In the enquired situation, if you are in the state of Ihraam in Makkah Mukarramah and you experience Haidh (menstruation), you should wait until your Haidh terminates and then you should continue with your Umrah and Tawaaf etc. as a women in Haidh is not allowed to perform the Tawaaf of Umrah etc. in the state Haidh.”
