How does a woman with irregular bleeding (istihaadha) pray?

“If after the 7 days, she still experiences spotting, then she should wait as this can be part of her haiz (since it is within 10 days). She should not perform any salaah in this time.”

“Fundamentally, bleeding of the nose will not nullify one’s fast. Yes, if the blood goes down the nasal passage into the throat, then one’s fast will be invalidated. Similarly, merely seeing blood in the phlegm will not nullify one’s fast.”

“In principle if a woman is the state of Istihaadah, she will perform Salah even though she is bleeding in those days. In the enquired scenario if the bleeding appeared out of the days of her normal Haidh habit (Aadah), then it will be considered as Istihaadah and she will perform Salah during these days.”

“Yes, it is permissible for a man to have relations (sexual intercourse) with his wife while she is in the state of Istihadah.”
