What the Darul Iftas say
“It is not permissible for you to follow the masjid jamaat from your home as both places are different. In order for the following to be correct and valid, the place of the imaam and the muqtadi should be the same. If the place of the imaam and the muqtadi are different, then the following will not be valid.”
“In principle, a Munfarid (person praying alone) should recite the Quran silently (inaudibly) in Zuhr and Asr Salah. It is not permissible for a Munfarid to recite the Quran audibly in Zuhr and Asr Salah.”
“It is a sunnah to perform the nawaafil and sunan at home. It has been mentioned in many narrations that Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam exhorted one to perform these at home and did so himself. Many benefits are derived from this devotion.”
