Can I pray with shoes or socks on?

“It is permissible to perform Janazah Salaah with shoes on as long as the shoes and the surrounding area of the shoes are free from all impurities. However, one should not perform general Salaah with shoes on unless there is a pressing need to do so.”

“1.The Fuqaha have written that it is Makrooh to wear shoes and enter the Masjid even though the shoes may be perfectly clean, thus a person should not perform Salaah with shoes in the Masjid. It is recorded in Umdatul Mufti that to wear shoes in the Masjid is contrary to the etiquettes of the Masjid.”

“It is not permissible to make Masah on regular cotton socks, as all the conditions of making Masah on Khuffain have not been found. All four Imaams of Fiqh are at a consensus in this matter.
